.world's tallest man's new bike
Leonid
Stadnik has the honour of being the tallest man in
the world. The Ukrainian stands at 8 feet 5 inches
according the Guinness Book of Records, and for the
first time he's now been able to ride a bike. The
giant bike has been created for him in the village
of Podoliantsy, about 200km west of Kiev.
A
growth spurt began at the age of 14 after a brain
operation stimulated his pituitary gland, and since
then Leonid has found the generosity of strangers
staggering, which has now extended to the bike - something
which may have a great benefit to Leonid who has,
understandably, suffered knee problems for years.
And
you just need to see the smile on his face to see
how much it means.
.owl rides bike
This
could possibly be the laziest owl in existence.
Jenny
Smith hand-reared six year-old Treacle from a chick
at the Gentleshaw Wildlife Centre in Eccleshall, Staffordshire.
And now Treacle likes to be chauffered around on the
handlebars of Ms Smith's bike.
Gentleshaw
seems to specise in slightly eccentric animals, however:
"We've got a monkey that likes scribbling
and a hawk that only likes women, so many of the animals
have got funny little traits, but Treacle's our only
bike rider."
That
said, Treacle has a little way to go to match the
animal in this month's caption competition...
