.every month citycycling picks a website which has caught our eye (or the eye of a reader) and finds out a bit more about it, before giving it loads of free publicity here just because we like it.

.this month we stumbled across 'Bicycle Smile' and took to it immediately because of the name, and then because of one particular t-shirt they had for sale. We spoke to Ryan Warkentin to find out some more.

Basics first... name? age? where are you? when did you start cycling?
Name: Ryan Warkentin. Age: 31. From: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Started Cycling: Hmmm, not sure really. As a young child, but not sure of the age.

.so why set up the website?
The website cam about for a few reasons. One was that I wanted to teach myself how to design and maintain a website. This could only be achieved by developing a concept for one. So, I took my biggest passion, cycling, and started to form it into a workable idea for a web site.

The other reason that it came about was that I wanted there to be more unbiased opinions on cycling products available to the public. I work in a bicycle store full time, so I deal with many products everyday. I also ride year round, and have done so for a good ten years. I felt like this was all good experience to combine, and thus www.bicyclesmile.com was born.
