.the poll

In Issue 26 we asked you which countries you felt safe cycling in

Most of the results here weren't much of a surprise. France and the Netherlands lead the way with 35% and 30% of the vote respectively. Scandinavia polled almost as much when counted together, and we failed to factor in the popularity (and apparent safety) of Germany. The UK figured nowhere, there is much work to be done!

Have tried : Denmark, Sweden, Norway, UK, Germany, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Spain, India, Nepal and Iceland.
I would say Slovakia within my little experience

Italy was fun, exciting, but probably not terribly safe when traffic jamming London style along four lanes fo traffic in Turin
Norway was great. Never ever felt threatened. The biggest risks were the ice and mooses (meece?)
