.etape caledonia (pitlochry) (18 may)
After the successful inaugural event in 2007 the Etape
Caledonia is back. Rolling closures (albeit with a
'challenging' minimum speed) make the 81 mils, and
almost 2000ft of climbing, much more enjoyable than
they may otherwise be.

.the
tour of wessex (24-26 may)
A three-day stage race, with accompanying
sportive setting off 10 minutes later. As if that
wasn't enough over the three days is a Cycle Show,
MTB Enduro and MTB Trials displays. What more could
you want?

.bealach na-ba challenge (kinlochewe) (6 sep)
An absolutely insane challenge, and one being taken
up by Citycycling team of 2 this year. 91 miles round
the Applecross peninsula, incorporating the highest
road pass in the UK, rising to more than 2000 feet.
Incredibly popular event.

.pedal for scotland (glasgow/edinburgh) (14 sep)
Team Citycycling took part last year in this huge
annual event, covering roughly 55 miles between Glasgow
and Edinburgh. It poured. All day. We'll be there
again this year, testament to the fun day this really
is.
